"Our church is not a building but a feeling of love, of community and an energetic focus on the fabulous Science of Mind teaching"
Reverend Jane Claypool
As another year draws to a close and a new one awaits I am filled with gratitude for the grace of God as it has filled my life. Our spiritual home continues to unfold as a nurturing environment where individuals grow in consciousness. It feels like a living organism made out of living spirit.
Like a garden, our church must be tended. As new plants or new lives are added and take root, they require a nurturing hand to help with the weeding and fertilizing and ongoing maintenance. There has been such a soul who has stood out as a Master Gardener of our Center and that is Saeed Karimi. It is going to take many hands and hearts to equal his joyful service, but I know that he has stepped aside so that others might follow his example.
In the Inca tradition they speak of a universal law of Ayni (pronounced I-knee) which means sacred reciprocity. If you receive, you must give, and if you give, you will receive. This is the one rule or law of the Inca tradition. Saeed exemplified that as do so many of you. Together we are serving, loving and interspiriting in a flow of living energies.
What if we could take our bubble of living energy and share it with another? What if we became permeable to each other and could merge as one? What if all our bubbles came together and made a collective bubble? Something like that is happening at our Center. We could call it the second coming of Christ, the awakening of Buddha consciousness, the light emerging from within. It doesn't matter what you call it.
What is important is that we commit to It. When we give ourselves to a greater idea it grows within us and manifests in profoundly wonderful ways. Our Center is a living bubble of energy where dreams are born and life is celebrated and the power of Spirit flows.
Here we can find our dream and live it. Here we can experience our power and use it. Here we can discover our life and love it. All it asks is our intention. What is yours?
A new year awaits your participation. Get involved by practicing Ayni. Take a class, make a friend, step into your bubble and transform it so that you might be able to know the greater life. Jesus said, "If I be lifted up I draw all others unto me." Follow his example and raise your conscious awareness.
Thank you all for the many gifts you continue to share. Thank you for your smiles and hugs and enthusiastic support. Let us harness that grateful heart as a pathway to God. Let us feel that where we are is holy ground. Let us know that we have been drawn together to merge as One in Spirit and in Truth.
Be the gift of love this holiday season.
