Reverend David "You wander from room to room, hunting for the diamond necklace that is already around your neck!."  – Rumi

Life's great paradox is that we spend so much of our time searching for our success and identity out there in the world of effect only to discover that we have it already within us. What we are looking for we already possess, yet we don't know it.
We think that our good lies out there somewhere, perhaps in another person, or in the achievement of a goal. Maybe we believe that if we "do" something, we will "have" something and then we will "be" somebody.
What if we shifted our focus from "somebody" training to "nobody" training, then we might discover that we are "everybody". Dr. Holmes admonishes us to "let our humanity embrace our divinity so that our divinity might unite our humanity". How sweet is that thought?
He also tells us that we must make this great discovery for ourselves. He was often heard saying, "The Thing you are looking for you are looking with". This is the Thing Itself, and he too was declaring that we are looking for it in the wrong places.
J. Krishnamurti put it to us directly, "In oneself lies the whole world; and if you know how to look and learn, then the door is there and the key is in your hand. No one can give you either the key or the door to open except yourselves." It's up to us.
I am thrilled to see souls who are hungry to know themselves. It takes the willingness to show up for the moment and do the work of looking within at both the shadow and the light. It asks of us our participation in the game of life where we engage in a dialogue with one another and let our thoughts and feelings merge as we explore whom it is we are.
Every event we attend reveals a little more. Masks come off as the authentic self comes out to play. Friends support each other as they mirror back the joy and meaning they encounter through energy exchanges. It's fun, it's organic, and it is how we remember who we are.
I love the calligraphy in the sanctuary that says, "i have arrived, i am home". It seems to say it all. When I know that truth for myself as a "now" reality, the search ends and I can smile.
This spring I feel so grateful for the love that flows in abundance at our Center. It is a love that does not possess but rather liberates. It is a heart to heart connection that honors the emancipated soul.
Let us dance together in the light as we spin out in different ways, celebrating our diversity amidst our unity.
I honor you. I respect you. I love you. You are an aspect of myself. The Beloved in me bows to the Beloved in you.
We are One. We have arrived. Welcome home!
